James Tucci, MA, LIMHP

James Tucci graduated in 2003 from Doane College-Crete with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies. In 2007, James graduated from Doane College-Lincoln with a Master of Arts in Counseling. He is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in the state of Nebraska.

James has worked in residential, acute care (hospital), in-home, day treatment, and outpatient settings. He has assisted children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals with issues related to abuse and trauma, depression, anxiety, resolving problems and increasing skills, and optimizing parenting effectiveness.

The therapeutic approach James uses is Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is rooted in the very best aspects of many therapeutic approaches and creates an approach - or philosophy - on how to navigate the very tricky and highly uncomfortable aspects of mind and of life. Through this approach with James, you'll discover the power, control, and freedom you have over the mind.

A few interests and activities James enjoys include playing bass for various bands, incessantly reading, playing strategy games, and creating. Above all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters.

Melissa Tucci, MA, LIMHP, LADC

Melissa Tucci graduated in 2010 from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In 2012, Melissa graduated from Doane College-Lincoln with a Master of Arts in Counseling. She is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in the state of Nebraska.

Melissa has worked in residential, in-home, day treatment, school-based, and outpatient settings. She has assisted children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals with issues related to abuse and trauma, depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol usage, and improving parent-child relationships. Additionally, Melissa has been a SCIP (School Community Intervention & Prevention) provider, in which she provides free substance use evaluations for adolescents.

The therapeutic approaches Melissa uses are Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

A few interests and activities Melissa enjoys include cooking and baking, crafting and creating, and exercising. And, of course, spending time with her husband and daughters.
